Or is it “C is for Corral?”
As tempting as it is to call this a corral, there’s no opening for a gate. It’s about 15 miles to the north, in the foothills, and it has historically been sheep grazing country.

Rock Enclosure
Years ago I asked the then-owner what it was and he said it was there when his father bought the property from the original homesteader. One of his coffee-drinking companions had a great story about a teacher at the near-by school getting bit by a snake so they brought in hogs to eat the snakes.
Or it may have been erected to keep deer out of hay stacks. It is great winter deer range.
When I paced it, I came up with 40′ x 70′, with the a smaller enclosure at the northeast corner, being roughly 9′ x 20′. Every once in awhile I think I will go up with a tape measure and get some good measurements and try again to interest the historical preservation folks.

You aroused my curiosity on this one. Great interpretation, Sharon.
